NCSFA Honors Georgia Tech University Fleet Administrator Samuel Evans III with Distinguished Member Award

Sam has demonstrated his excellence in fleet management and has contributed his expertise to further NCSFA’s mission to lead, connect, and represent state and university fleet administrators.

Lexington, KY – The National Conference of State Fleet Administrators (NCSFA) an association dedicated to state and university state fleet directors, has honored Samuel Evans III, Fleet Manager for Georgia Tech University with the 2019 Distinguished Member Award.

The Distinguished Member Award is given to one fleet administrator whom exemplifies leadership skills in public fleet management and among their peers. In addition, the award recognizes the individual’s furthering of NCSFA’s mission and contributing to state and university fleet management. The award is presented annually at the State Fleet Managers Workshop.

Samuel Evans III was chosen as the recipient of this award for his extensive experience in university fleet management as well as his contributions to the furthering of NCSFA’s mission. Sam has built a team at Georgia Tech that has been awarded the Blue Seal of Excellence by the National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence, was recognized by NAFA with the Sustainable Fleet Accreditation, and includes over 10 Automotive Service Excellence Certifications.

Sam has also contributed to NCSFA’s mission of leading, connecting, and representing state and university fleet administrators. By participating in topical roundtable conversations, contributing thought leadership at the annual Workshop, and participating in his university’s Excel Mentorship Program for disabled students, Sam has demonstrated how he elevates those around him. For his work and accomplishments, President Scott Edwards, Fleet Administrator with the State of Colorado presented Sam with the Distinguished Member Award.
