Steve Saltzgiver NCSFA Executive Director PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE By Larry
Charlton, UC Riverside WOW! What a
great year it’s been! Our hat’s are off to Josie Sharp and all those that
helped in making the NCSFA Conference in Hershey, PA a success. I want to
thank Diane Thomas from Mercury and Associates for the long hours she did
taking care of the attendees and their guests by providing the handouts and
giving direction at the registration desk. Also, thanks to the entire
2006-2007 board under President Scott Madsen for the leadership provided
these past two years. I would be amiss if I did not recognize Steve
Saltzgiver for his tireless work since becoming the Executive Director.
Moving forward, we want to now build on our successes so that we can make the
next two years as exciting. For those
of you who were not able to attend the Hershey conference, I want to
introduce the new board. Scott Madsen from Colorado is our Past President.
Chris Hoffman from Oklahoma is the President-elect. Jeannie Wilson from
Missouri is our new Vice President. We welcome back Gene Reed from Virginia
who begins his third year as the NCSFA Treasurer. We have Jackie McCloughan
from Idaho, Barbara Bonansinga from Illinois and Cindy Dixon from Missouri as
our Members at Large. Kathi Croze from CEI, our Corporate Liaison is a very
important member of our board. Kathi worked extremely hard this past year to
increase the number of vendors at the trade show. The show was successful
because of her efforts. On behalf of
all of us, thank you NCSFA members for your vote of confidence in allowing us
to serve you as your board members for 2007-2008. Mark your calendars to head
to Long Beach in Southern California, September 28 to October 3, 2008, when
California hosts the 2008 NCSFA Conference. We have already been planning for
next year’s conference. We guarantee you to have a tremendous time. We
promise the weather to be beautiful and the activities to be plentiful.
Bookmark the NCSFA web site for quick and easy access as we keep you
informed. We welcome your input and comments. Our goal at NCSFA is to help
you be successful. Have a
terrific year. Larry STATE FLEET NEWS & TECHNOLOGY
